The
Midland Football Alliance
Founded
1994
The
Midland Football Alliance was formed in 1994 and we currently have 22 teams
playing in the league.
The
league was formed with 20 teams, 10 drawn from the West Midlands (Regional) League
Premier Division and 10 from the Midland Combination Premier Division those
founder member clubs were.
Barwell,
Boldmere St Michaels, Bolehall Swifts, Brierley Hill Town, Chasetown, Halesowen
Harriers, Hinckley Athletic, Knypersley Victoria, Oldbury United, Paget
Rangers, Pershore Town, Rocester, Rushall Olympic, Sandwell Borough, Shepshed
Dynamo, Shifnal Town, Stapenhill, Stratford Town, West Midlands Police,
Willenhall Town.
Since
the first ball was kicked way back in 1994 a total of 55 clubs have played in
the league, numerous moving on and up, some slipping back to where they were
promoted from and sadly one or two have disbanded altogether.
In
the period the Midland Alliance has been running a number of our member clubs
have done extremely well in FA Competitions. Three of them Chasetown,
Leamington and Coalville Town all reaching the first round proper of the
competition and all going out to Football League opposition.
Oadby
Town have also reached the Semi Final of the FA Vase
The
league is run by a committee consisting of: Mick Joiner (Chairman), Mike Penn
(Vice Chairman) and the elected committee members.
